It is known that culturally recycled pop music from developed countries is gaining momentum, seasoned with several innovations. Pop music, by nature, has the greatest (apparent) dynamism. It’s a form of expression, andContinue reading “Intro Muzik Magazine (November 1996)”

Many thanks to grapht_sound for sending me this excellent article! THE SOUND OF MUSIC Can music mean something? Does it describe the world? The intimate relationship between music and the body makes it hard to answer such questions; the experience of music is somehow a far more direct and unmediated one than the visual. Melodies from Mars

‘Melodies from Mars’ is an album of unreleased music by Aphex Twin, potentially due for release sometime around 1994/95. A selection of tracks from a cassette given to friends was apparently leaked. MTG (Mind The Gap) and Jaws – The lost Power-Pill singles *updated*

MTG (short for Mind The Gap) and Jaws were two tracks that were intended follow ups to Richard’s Pac-Man single released under his Power-pill pseudonym. Pac-Man was released in 1992 under the Ffrreedom subsidiary label of London Records. The reasoning behind the fact these tracks were never released was explained by Richard on SoundCloud thusly:Continue reading “MTG (Mind The Gap) and Jaws – The lost Power-Pill singles *updated*”

Caustic Window LP (CAT 023) *mumbly update*

The reason why ‘CAT 023‘ never actually received a wider release is not known. From my own personal recollection, Richard mentioned on his SoundCloud account at some point, that he wasn’t entirely happy with the first track ‘Flutey‘. In later years he grew to like this particular track again. I doubt this is the soleContinue reading “Caustic Window LP (CAT 023) *mumbly update*”
